| Official Rules | |
| 1. Follow the
rules! If your entry exceeds the 2500 word limit or arrives after the deadline, the judges will not include it in the voting. It will still get posted though, as long as it's not ridiculously long or ridiculously late. |
| 2. Just one,
please! Only one entry accepted per monthly contest per person. |
| 3. How to
submit... Write your story (double-space between paragraphs) in the body of your email, or use Word Pad or Microsoft Works Word Processor, then attach and send it to acwclub@gmail.com. Please let us know how you would like to be listed: name, nickname, or other. You may also include the address of your personal web site. |
| 4.
Confirmation! If you do not receive a confirmation letter within a few days after submitting your entry, write to Jon Nicholas at jon.o.nicholas@gmail.com. If you cannot get through to that address for some reason, post a message in our club. |
| 5. Publishing
stuff. All acceptable entries will be published on this web site. The webmaster decides if an entry is not acceptable. (At the time of this writing, he hasn't found any entry to be unacceptable. He hopes he won't ever find a reason. He will notify you if yours is deemed unacceptable.) Your submission tells the webmaster that you agree to have your entry published here and only here. You retain all other publishing rights. |
| 6.
Finalization... After the deadline, all entries will be posted on this web site in the order they were received. Sometimes there are errors made when the webmaster transfers the entries, so at that time you may write to him to make any last minute corrections. This phase will last no less than three days. |
| 7. It's a
secret! All entries are anonymous until after the judging is completed. Judges will not know who wrote any of the entries. |
| 8. The
winners... Winning entries and honorable mentions, if any, will earn the right to display our winner's badge. There are no prizes awarded. |
| 9. The
judges... The judges are friends and coworkers of the webmaster. There are usually between six and eight men and women casting their votes for the best entry. They are not associated with the ACWclub . The webmaster's wife, who also is not associated with the club, breaks any ties. |
| 10.
Prohibited! Any member of the webmaster's family, or member of the judging panel, is not allowed to submit an eligible entry. |
